How our research works
Insurances Quote sits on top of 1.8M+ binding-grade quote comparisons processed through our marketplace since 2018. This shopper-data backbone is the foundation of every report we publish — it captures real-world driver and homeowner shopping behavior at scale, not just published rate filings.
For each report, we blend our internal data with publicly available sources: state Department of Insurance rate filings, NAIC consumer complaint data, J.D. Power industry studies, reinsurance market commentary, and academic research. We don’t accept carrier funding for any research project — the reports reflect what shoppers actually experience, not what carriers want shoppers to think.
Methodology
Reports refresh on different cadences. Annual reports (Auto, Homeowner) publish each May. Industry reports (AI, claims trends) publish quarterly. Quality scores refresh January / April / July / October. All findings re-verified against current NAIC + state-DOI data before publication.
