How these profiles are built: we did not write twenty new reviews from scratch. Each profile collects what our published guides already say about the carrier — the 2026 rankings, the rate and discount guides, and the carrier notes behind our quote lines — and lists the source for every figure. Gaps stay visible.

A dash means we do not publish that figure for the carrier — not that the carrier lacks one. Composite scores, average premiums and NAIC ratios come from our 2026 ranking, which covers the national carriers that write in 40+ states; regional and membership carriers are profiled from our other guides and carrier notes.

Carrier profile FAQs

Why does one carrier have a full profile and another only a few lines?
Each profile contains exactly what our published guides and carrier notes say about that carrier, with a source for every figure. A carrier that appears in our 2026 ranking has a composite score, an average premium, a complaint ratio and a rating on record; a regional or membership carrier may only have program notes. We do not fill the difference with estimates.
Are the premiums on these pages quotes?
No. They are the average figures from our rankings data — directional benchmarks. Your price depends on your ZIP, vehicle, driving record and limits; the only way to know it is to run a comparison on your own profile.
Do carriers pay to be profiled or to influence what a profile says?
No. We are paid when a shopper binds a policy through our marketplace, never for placement, and no carrier reviews a profile before it is published.
Where do the complaint ratios and financial-strength ratings come from?
They are the NAIC complaint index and A.M. Best ratings as cited in our 2026 ranking of the best car insurance companies. Profiles do not carry a live regulator feed — a figure refreshes when the ranking it came from refreshes.

Methodology

Scope. The 20 carriers on this hub are the national and regional auto insurers we profile first; more are added as we publish sourced material on them. A profile is assembled from four bodies of copy we already publish: the 2026 rankings guide, the other editorial guides, the carrier notes behind our quote lines, and the vehicle-level rate model. Each figure keeps a pointer to the exact line it came from, and a check we run before publishing fails if that line no longer contains the figure.

Threshold. A profile with fewer than four substantive facts is published for completeness but labeled “limited data” and kept out of search indexes until more sourced material is added.

What is not here. No J.D. Power study scores, no live NAIC data, no app-store ratings, no quotes. Figures were not re-verified with the carriers for these profiles; they inherit the provenance of the guide they came from.

Advertiser Disclosure

Insurances Quote is an independent insurance marketplace. We are paid by carriers when shoppers switch to a policy we’ve helped match — never by the shopper. We don’t resell your lead data to third-party buyers, and the carrier rankings on this page reflect our composite quality score (35% claims, 30% price, 20% service, 15% digital tools), not paid placement.
